WinTrezur Details

WinTrezur supports strong photo encryption. Images are stored inside fully encrypted archives and decrypted in memory while previewing. No temporary files are created. You can hide photos, text, video, or any other data, inside archives. While main focus of WinTrezur is on safely encrypting photos, it can be also used as generic purpose strong encryption software.

Archives

A2R archives are the native WinTrezur files optimized for security. A2R archives are encrypted and password protected. You alone are in full control of your files. Image files can be added in an A2R archive at any time (create / append), moved and renamed inside its folders, deleted and extracted, moved to other archives, and previewed on-the-fly without extracting. ZIP archives can be also directly previewed, created, and extracted.

Encryption

WinTrezur uses strong symmetric encryption (CBC mode over entire file contents + optional compression). A2R archives encrypt all data and file information (paths, size, etc) with different keys derived from password (PKCS #5). There are no identifying bytes inside archives. An A2R archive looks like random data (with random length). There are no backdoors. AES up to 256 bit, Serpent up to 256 bit, Blowfish up to 448 bit, Twofish up to 256 bit, etc., plus several combined encryption modes, such as, Blowfish + AES.
